her: I'm Ashley -- an entrepreneur x artist. I've always been a little "weird" and funky and never thought twice about wearing stripes and polka dots together. I love to style, travel, create things and cook! I'm also the owner of Gen-XY Vintage, a clothing company that carries vintage, vintage-inspired and handmade clothing and accessories. I'm a Maryland native and after graduating with a B.S. from North Carolina A&T State University (AGGIE PRIDE!!!), I returned home in 2009 and was dumped into this thing called "grown-up life". I was tired of spending 40+ hours a week building other people's brands and dreams, so I decided to start my business, which has given me the most fulfillment EVER in life. It makes me happy to make others happy through clothing because I believe if you look good, you feel good! I have a passion for so many things including entrepreneurship, fashion, local businesses and events, teaching about living/eating healthy, family and so much more. I'm also a huge advocate for love and believe there's someone out there for everyone. I'm deeply in love with Adam and think that this is a great way for us to come together to share our individuality with the world and inspire other people and couples!

them: A lot of our friends call us "black hippies"... we're into everything art, really free-spirited, we promote peace, love & happiness and we're all about making the most of our lives! We started talking randomly one day and realized that individually we each have tons of talents and interests and wanted a way to collectively showcase and share that with the world. We decided to name our blog "the capriquarius blog" because it represents us as a whole -- Adam (Aquarius) & Ashley (Capricorn). We chose planet Saturn as our logo because Capricorn and Aquarius are both ruled by Saturn. Saturn is a cool, traditional energy and is very goal-oriented and devoted to progressive thinking. So because we're all about revolutionizing the world we decided this would be a way to share a snippet of our lives and what we love including fashion, film, music, food & more! This is the story about a couple sharing their passions and love for life and for one another so we hope that you enjoy :)
